Monique Capanelli loves to play in the dirt, as long as it’s to make it pretty. But she knows looks aren’t everything. As a Certified Permaculture Designer, she ensures the artful aesthetics are equally as smart. Her design concept begins with sustainability in mind, from which a stimulating world of color, style, and texture comes alive.
Uncommon to the landscape world, Monique also performs entire interior transformations, bringing expert interior plant design to estates and urban loft-living. As a wedding florist, she veers from traditional with an exotic palette that emobodies her passion for the unique, while setting trends of green weddings.
Monique launched Articulture Designs after years working for premier Austin landscape design firms. Though an Austinite for 20 years, her green thumb first originated in fertile Sonoma County, where her restaurateur parents went organic before such a certification existed. She feels lucky that her work includes many of her life passions: plants, art, environment, and design.
